I spent the morning after our ride from Vancouver sitting out near the pool reading.  It's been a LONG time since I've done that...

Then when it was ready, we checked into our room.  We got immediately upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite on the top floor.  What's more is it had not only a bedroom, kitchen and living room, but also a fireplace and a balcony!  I walked out on the balcony and saw this.

Awesome...  So then we went to the wedding rehearsal.  All I can say it, good choice of location...  I'm guessing that this will be a recurring theme this weekend.

One word or warning if you ever think about coming up here:  There are bears.

Luckily, they have a little tutorial for us city folk.

We left at 5am this morning headed to Vancouver.  Grabbed a rental car and made the drive up to Whistler.  This is my first time here and my thought is "Man! Is this beautiful country..." 

All throughout the drive, my mind was fiddling with the idea of saying "screw it all" and moving up here, getting some great glass-walled condo in downtown Vancouver or a cabin in the San Juans, or a great little cottage in Whistler.

One can dream...
