San Francisco is screwing with me
Before getting dressed to take Stella out this morning, I looked out the window and it was cold, windy, gray and rainy to the point of torrential downpour.
When we walked out the door I was surprised to see that the rain had stopped and the sun had come out. It was warm for the way I was dressed and I was a bit embarrassed to be wearing my Indiana Jones-style rain hat in such beautiful weather. Plus, I hadn't brought my sunglasses.
We walked from our house down to La Boulange/Octavia Green which is about four blocks. I went in to get coffee and a pastry then brought Stella across the street to the park. She did her business as she always does and then we walked back.
On the way back, the sun disappeared and rain started coming down once again. WTF? Who's the silly archaeological hero now?
After walking the three remaining blocks and walking upstairs to the house, I looked out the window and again, it was beautiful and sunny without a trace of rain.
Three complete and total weather changes in the span of about 40 minutes. Did I miss some apocalyptic event in the news this morning? I'm staying in for the rest of the day just in case the meteor is about to hit.
Plus, I'm sick and have the Carling Cup final with Tottenham and Chelsea on the Tivo. Not leaving again.
