Natural beauty?

Wouldn't it be cool if we lived in a world where a campaign for natural beauty wasn't a sales gimmick? Regardless, when I run out of soap I'll be buying Dove.

I wear mascara every once in a while, and that's it. I don't even own other makeup. It's not that my appearance isn't important to me, it's that I don't consider makeup an important part of my appearance. Foundation always seemed gross to me. My sister wears it and I always thought it made her look less attractive.
I actually love the dove campaign - it began last year and I give them major props for taking the lead on all this---the campaign was the talk of the advertising world as it launched before all the hype around user generated content etc etc. Now of course secret and others are trying to jump on the bad wagon - with bad copies that are really NOT authentic. I think Dove really tried/is trying.

that's spot on.

Thanks Jay. It's comforting to know that there are people out there who can appreciate inner beauty as well as natural beauty.

Thanks for pointer, Jay!

That Photoshop sequence is fantastic. Hope this ad URL gets passed around every teenage girl in My Space... :)
That is totally fascinating. You know they do it, but it is so much more meaningful to see it done, step by step. (I totally think foundation -- a LITTLE foundation -- has its place though :-)
You can't help it. No matter how far you run, it's in your blood. Just like me and fried turkeys.
