Montana goes to the Dems making it 50-49. A Democratic Senate hangs in the balance in Virginia, with challenger Webb holding an apparent 6,708 vote lead over Senator Macaca with 99.8% of the vote reported.

There will of course be a recount, but just imagine that: Democratic control over both houses of Congress depends on literally less than ten thousand votes out of over three hundred million Americans.

Think your vote doesn't count? Think again...

yeah i saw some really ridiculous posts yesterday about how your vote mathematically doesn't matter, or to vote for no one, or even to vote for yourself. ughhhhh

The Senate is not deadlocked unless Webb wins—Lieberman won over Lamont and as we all know he's pretty much a Republican. Stupid Connecticut voters!

300 million, really. Because you never know where the critical races will end up.
